LOTUS @ RED ROCKS

APRIL 23, 2022

Lotus has announced a one-off performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO set to take place on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022. Cut Copy and STRFKR (DJ Set) will join the five-piece jamtronica outfit as special guests.

April 23rd will mark the band’s return to Colorado’s famous open-air amphitheater after hosting a four-night run on April 22nd–25th of this year. That occasion marked the first in-person concerts held at the venue since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

If Moe, Percy Hill and Lotus had a Baby…

…who tore your face off with their tight improvisational style, their anthems, and those deep cuts that remind us of a different time. The closest we get is BlueStar Radiation. Make sure you get a chance to see these incredible musicians do their thing on one of their many tour dates.

What is Blursday?

When all shut down, Tim did not. Unable to leave his fans high and dry (or put down his guitar), he began streaming as many of his colleagues did. During the thick of quarantine, Tim was performing on Facebook live, YouTube, and Twitch multiple times a week. His faithful stream followers eventually dubbed the Thursday livestream the “Blursday” livestream (in honor of the days blurring together).

Resulting in over 12 days (300 hours!) of music from streaming this year alone, the strong Blursday community is ever-ready for more. The quick union of this new group of fans from all over the world is inspiring, the stream chats side splitting and sometimes… whimsically mischievous. Join the group and see for yourself!

Now that everything is opening up, Blursday is the only day you can guarantee catching Tim stream online. This past year’s experience has taught us all how important it is to make music available to our best selves, and Blursday is a testament to that.

Steely Dan Tribute at Jazz Fest 2022

Tim is gearing up for a wild time at Jazz fest this year joining his esteemed colleagues in brining the music of Steely Dan to the masses.

Take it from Live for Live Music… “Featuring members of The MotetLotusGhost-Note/Snarky PuppyThe Nth Power, and more come together for a special tribute show at The Howlin’ Wolf.

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is due to return this spring after rolling through various postponements in 2020 and 2021, and rescheduled Steely Dan tribute will once again coincide with the start of the event’s second weekend.

Led by the talented Joey Porter, the funky keyboardist for The Motet, the band will also feature Tim Palmieri, the powerhouse guitarist who recently signed on with Lotus. They’ll team up with The Nth Power bassist Nate Edgar, Snarky Puppy/Ghost-Note percussionist Nate Werth, incomparable vocalist Lyle Divinsky (formerly of The Motet), and NOLA saxophonist Bryan McNamara.

The band will also feature seven former members of Turkuaz including Greg Sanderson (alto sax), Chris Brouwers (trumpet), and Josh Schwartz (baritone sax)—better known as The Horn Section—as well as drummer Michelangelo Carubba (Death Kings), guitarist/keyboardist Craig Brodhead, and singers Sammi Garett and Shira Elias.”

Consider The Source + Tim

Few bands shed the light and shreds it right like Consider the Source does. The other worldly trio had this to say about hitting the road with Tim in tow:

“We're thrilled to bring Tim Palmieri on the road to open our upcoming City Winery shows in Washington DC, Philadelphia & Boston!

You may have recently discovered Tim's incredible musicianship since he joined Lotus but our relationship with him goes way back with his bands The Breakfast, Kung Fu, Zappa Tribute - The Z3 and more. In addition to these many musical endeavors he developed a captivating "Blursday" livestream series which propelled his solo sets to new levels.
Be sure to come early to catch Tim's performances at these intimate, seated shows.”
